Center for Inclusive Child Care
The Center for Inclusive Child Care (CICC) offers free Consultation Services to child care providers and all other early childhood and school age professionals in Minnesota.

The goal of the CICC’s Consultation Services is to provide support to child care and school age care providers, enabling them to successfully include and retain children with special needs and those with challenging behaviors in their programs.

The CICC’s Consultation Services offers:
  • consultation to child care and school age providers
  • referral support in finding care or determining best placement options
  • resources for staff development and education

Enhanced Self-Study Courses
NOW AVAILABLE ONLINE IN THE LEARNING CENTER


These disability specific courses are offered 24 hours a day, seven days a week through the convenience of Internet learning. These courses are presented as online interactive modules as well as expanded audio modules for a “book on tape” approach.

Unique Courses:
  • Available, free of charge, to anyone who visits the online Learning Center.
  • Available, for a fee of $25.00 per certificate if courses are taken for CEUs (clock hours), which include CDA Competency Standards.
The CICC Learning Center is currently offering courses on the topics of Autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder, the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act, and Sensory Processing Disorder. Additional courses will be available soon.


Newsletters
The Center for Inclusive Child Care (CICC) produces two, bimonthly newsletters:
  • a newsletter for child care providers and all early childhood and school age professionals
  • a newsletter for inclusion trainers and consultants
The CICC invites you to subscribe electronically to a free, inclusion newsletter. You can view the newsletter on the CICC website, download and print it, or email it to others. It contains strategies, tips, and resources for more successful inclusion. When you subscribe, you will receive an email notice from the CICC, containing a link to the newsletter when a new issue is released.

To subscribe, go to the CICC’s website: www.inclusivechildcare.org. Once you arrive at the CICC website, mouseover the “Resources” button and then over the “Newsletters” selection to click on the “subscribe to CICC newsletter.”
